The Tom Joyner Morning Show Has CUT The Radio On R. Kelly’s Music

The ‘Savage’ family pleading for their daughter back on national news media platforms and still the black community as a whole, turned a blind eye to the accusations. Several women came forward and no reaction was given towards their stories and R. Kelly’s music has been played on radio and television and his concerts still sell out.

During Jacque Reid’s “Inside Her Story” segment of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, #MeToo founder Tarana Burke discussed the support Kelly still receives from fans and people in the industry after Sophia Nelson accused the movement of “not doing enough to bring down R. Kelly.” After Burke told Joyner “we need the Tom Joyner Morning Show to stop supporting R. Kelly,” the radio host vowed, “Okay, you got it. I’ll do that right now. I won’t play anymore R. Kelly music.”

Earlier this month, Kelly was also accused of infecting a woman with an STD after grooming her for his sex cult. The singer has not addressed recent allegations. With the recent wave of allegations against R. Kelly and the current culture (#MeToo), it looks like R. Kelly’s days are numbered.
