Thomas Sullivan, aka “Luscious” Johnny Valiant, was struck by a pickup truck in Ross Township, Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Valiant, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996, was 71. From the details so far Police said that Valiant ran across a busy road, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by the truck, WXPI reports. The driver of the truck remained at the scene, according to the report.
Valiant won multiple tag-team titles as a member of the Valiant brothers in the 1970s. The Valiant brothers, with bleach-blond hair and flamboyant style helped usher in an outrageous brand of wrestling that took over in the 80s, according to their WWE bio.
