NBA Player Matthew Dellavedova Announces Engagement On Instagram | @matthewdelly
“Best teammate I’ll ever have”, he wrote, with a picture of the loved-up pair, Schroeder showing off a glistening rock.
It’s been an eventful summer for Matthew Dellavedova. He won a championship with the Cavaliers, landed a four-year, $38 million contract with the Bucks and played with the Australian national team at the Olympics in Rio (they lost to Spain in the bronze medal game).
With just over two weeks to go before training camp kicks off, Dellavedova hit maybe the most important milestone of all: he got engaged. He shared a photo on Instagram after she said yes to which he was referring to his longtime girlfriend, the former college volleyball star Anna Schroeder.
The pair reportedly met back in college at St Mary’s, where Dellavedova starred on the basketball court and Schroeder in the volleyball team. It’s been a pretty darn good year for Delly.
He’s won a title with the Cleveland Cavaliers, signed that massive deal with Milwaukee and now he is to tie the knot. The only thing missing was some Rio silverware with the Boomers.
Congrats to these two!
Things to know about Anna:
She is originally from Concord, Calif. and attended Berean Christian High school where she was a four-time letter winner. She was named Most Valuable Player of the Diablo Valley Athletic League three times in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Other achievements include four-time All-Diablo Valley Athletic League First Team; helped guide her team to three league championships in 2005, 2007 and 2008. In 2008 led the Eagles to a 26-7 record and a perfect 12-0 record in DVAL play. She also was a two-time letter winner in swimming. You can read more of her stats here.
Anna and her NBA player boyfriend certainly enjoy their time together. They are seen on social media hanging out with friends and travelling around. Recently the love-birds vacationed in Paris, other places they’ve travelled together include Brazil, Spain, and of course Australia to meet her in-laws.
